Beach and gull, Newquay, Cornwall

I never think about why I am taking a picture when I take it. I look around with open eyes and an open mind and try things out in the viewfinder until some feeling inside says 'press the shutter now'. I try to catch something but I don't know what. Looking at this one now I think it conveys a feeling of serenity and hope
